First Responders

Being a first responder can be a heroic and fulfilling profession, but it comes with unique challenges and stressors that can take a toll on mental health and well-being.

As a first responder, you are constantly exposed to harrowing and upsetting events.

The constant exposure to trauma, long hours, high pressure situations, and being in the public eye can leave first responders feeling isolated, anxious, and overwhelmed. Sadly, many do not seek help and suffer in silence.

That's where our first responder counseling services come in. Our specialized therapy services provide a safe and confidential space for first responders to work through their challenges with a trained professional who understands the unique demands of their job. Brave has had a long standing relationship with the Boone County Fire Department for years. We appreciate and recognize the sacrifices our first responders make to serve their community and the uniqueness of their trauma.

As a first responder, you are constantly exposed to harrowing and upsetting events. You witness death, violence, and sad situations much more often than the general public. But you soldier on, no matter how difficult it may be, because you have a passion for serving your community and for being part of the team. Don't feel ashamed for needing support to cope with the heavy emotional burden of what you witness. You are only human, and you have the right to a secure, confidential environment where you can start the healing process.

We are committed to meeting you where you are, matching you with the best counselor for your needs, and supporting you on your path to healing and wellness. Don't suffer alone, reach out and get the help you deserve at Brave.
