We are passionate and dedicated to LGBTQIA+ advocacy. At Brave we are committed to promoting equality, inclusivity, and the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community in Missouri. Our mission is to help provide the right tools to create a society where every individual, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression, can live authentically, free from discrimination, prejudice, and violence.
At Brave we firmly believe in the power of education, awareness, and community engagement. Through our anonymous group meetings, we strive to provide a valuable resource hub that offers information, support, and a sense of belonging to LGBTQIA+ individuals, their families, and allies.
Anyone who wants to learn more about how to help advocate for themselves, their loved ones, and the LGBTQIA+ community.
We aim to foster a sense of community and connection. Even though Columbia is one of the more inclusive, equitable, and diverse communities in Missouri, we are lacking in safe gathering places for the LGBTQAI+ community. With the recent injustices and regulations imposed unwilfully on the community, we saw the need and are rising to the occasion. We encourage open dialogue, engagement, and collaboration among visitors, allowing for the sharing of personal stories, experiences, and insights. Together, we can build a more accepting, compassionate, and equitable society for all.
