We love empowering College Students, Graduate Students, and Professionals to reduce the impact of their ADD/ADHD symptoms and improve the overall quality of their life and relationships.
Coaching helps you bridge the gap between learning the skills and actually implementing them. Rather than simply discussing the things you want to achieve you'll have the opportunity to perform tasks in real-time with your coach. Along the way, your coach will be providing education, guidance, and feedback. We will explore various ways for you to complete your desired tasks while ultimately achieving your goal.
Individual Coaching: The cost of sessions varies based on which Coach you work with. This is due to the difference in education, training, experience, and licensure. $35-125 per hour
Group Coaching: Depending on your needs Group Sessions can be a great option. We often recommend these sessions for students or professionals needing accountability to complete tasks or assignments. Group sessions cost $35 or less depending on the number of participants.
Our therapists will empower you to take control of your life. If you've been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD, chances are you're struggling with feelings of shame, guilt, or embarrassment. You're also more likely to suffer from anxiety, depression, and sleep issues. We are here to help you overcome these roadblocks to your happiness! During sessions, we'll be diving deeper into understanding your stuck points and patterns along with practical ways to change them.
Dr. Kimberly Brandt and Dr. Amanda Kingston will assess and clarify your diagnosis and prescribe medication if appropriate. We understand medication isn't for everyone. However, for some, it's a great way to reduce their symptoms and increase productivity. Our providers encourage our clients to maximize the benefits of medication by combining it with counseling and/or coaching. This allows you to learn and maintain new tools and strategies to achieve your goals.
We know reaching out can be challenging. We are here to answer any questions and help you get started. To schedule an appointment you can call, text, email or complete our consultation request form.
Before your Intake Appointment, we ask you to complete our online intake paperwork. This allows us to gather valuable information quickly so we can help you move forward.
During our first session, we focus on gathering history, understanding your inner strengths and talents, identifying stuck points, and establishing your goals. Together we will create a plan of action to help you be successful.
The Intake Appointment allows for 90 Minutes with a Therapist &/or Coach and costs $200.
Your friends complain there just aren't enough hours in the day to keep up with homework, housework, and social life. All the while, you're rolling your eyes at their tidy space and clean outfit as they're gently bragging about the project they nailed and upcoming plans for the weekend. Shit, you're just desperately trying to get through the day. Adulting isn't just hard... it's f**king impossible. They just don't understand what it's like to be you.
All your life, you've felt like an outsider. Sure, you might have friends and family who love you. Yet you often feel isolated and misunderstood even in a crowded room. You never feel like your living up to their expectations of your "potential." You find yourself apologizing for everything. Simple life tasks are often too much to manage. You always feel behind and out of sorts. Your world feels chaotic and disorganized. You're always running late. You carry around a ton of guilt and shame for never seeming to be as good at this "Adulting-thing" as everyone else does. And while it would be great to lay this off on your friends and vent, you can't risk the pain of rejection or another person assuming you're dramatic. You've battled anxiety, depression, and overwhelming stress for so long it's just normal. It feels like every aspect of your life is being recked.
Unfortunately, ADD/ADHD is often overlooked and goes undiagnosed in girls and women. It's not uncommon for women well into their 30's, 40's, or even older to finally receive a correct diagnosis. You are NOT crazy, lazy, or "too much." You have ADHD, and that's okay!
We love working with women who happen to have ADD/ADHD. These women are bright, intelligent, creative, and fierce. Each person comes into coaching or counseling with a unique story. The tick is to change your perspective and see your story through another lens. Our team is here to help you uncover your values, strengths and challenges, and future aspirations. Together we will move towards your dreams.
"To be nobody but yourself in a world that's doing its best to make you somebody else is to fight the hardest battle you are ever going to fight. Never stop fighting."
"Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree it will live its whole life believing it is stupid." - Albert Einstein
Many people who have ADD/ADHD come to see their diagnosis as a superpower. AHDH allows you to see and interact with the world in a different way than someone who's neurotypical. Your imagination is boundless, allowing your creativity to unfold. Your able to see endless possibilities where others can't. Your willingness to take risks allows you to pursue your dreams.
Unfortunatly, ADHD also has a type of kryptonite. And although you might chase your dreams, a shiny object or small bump in the road can quickly pull you off course, running in another direction. As we've previously described, a deficit in executive functioning skills can leave you floundering and unable to complete the necessary tasks to achieve your degree.
At Brave, we have a team of experts to help you excel. You can use one of our experts or all of them. It's up to you! Dr. Kimberly Brandt or Dr. Amanda Kingston can help you with identifying if medication is right for you. Our therapists are here to help you address the core issues and stuck points. Our coaches will act as the bridge between counseling (learning the skills) and implementing what you know.
There are many amazing talented professionals who happen to have ADD/ADHD. The beloved actress, model, and activist, Emma Watson. The co-founder of Microsoft and the tech revolution, Bill Gates. The world-renowned "Goddess of Pop," Cher. Actor, comedian, and forever loved, Robbin Williams. Olympic Gold and Silver medal-winning hockey player Cammi Granato. Even Alber Einstein who's considered one of the most intelligent people of all time. All of these individuals went on to use their gifts and talents forever shaping the world around them. Let us help you shape your world, allowing your light to shine bright.
We see you. We are here to help you uncover what's standing in the way of achieving your professional goals. It's time to honor those part of you that makes you unique and share it with the world.
